How do you handle reflections on polished metal?+

Reflective metal photography is mostly a lighting problem, not a retouching one. We use large diffused light sources, polarizers, and carefully placed bounce cards to control what the metal reflects. The result is even tone across the piece without blown-out hot spots or muddy shadows. We do not paint over reflections in post; the photo looks real because the lighting is real.

How much does jewelry photography cost?+

Most jewelry photos are $15 each. Earrings and watches run $20 to $25 per photo due to the extra setup. Setup is a one-time $120 fee per piece type. Every photo includes full retouching, color correction on the metal and stones, and lifetime usage rights. No editing fees, no licensing costs. Orders of 50+ photos get 15% off automatically. Can you shoot loose gemstones and ensure accurate color?+

Yes. Loose stones are some of the trickiest jewelry subjects because color saturation, fire, and visible facets all need to translate from real life to screen. We color-calibrate per stone type, use a known-reference target in each session, and confirm the final files on a hardware-calibrated monitor. If the stone is in hand and the photo is on screen and they look different, we shot it wrong, so we shoot it again.

What angles do you shoot for ecommerce jewelry listings?+

For rings: top down, side profile, three-quarter angle, and a tight detail shot of the stone setting. For necklaces and pendants: full chain layout, pendant detail, and a worn-on-stand shot. For earrings: matched pair flat lay plus single-earring detail. For watches: bezel, dial, side, crown, and clasp. We can match a specific Amazon or Shopify shot list if you send one over.

Do you photograph engagement rings and high-value pieces?+

Yes. We regularly photograph engagement rings, signed pieces, and high-value inventory. The studio is secured and insured during sessions. For very high-value or one-of-one pieces we can arrange same-day drop-off and pickup, or shoot on-site at your studio or vault.

How long does jewelry photography take?+

Standard turnaround is 7 business days from when we receive your pieces and final shot list. Rush delivery is 3 to 5 business days for a 25% surcharge, or 1 to 2 business days for 50% (useful for new collection launches or trade show prep). Extended 12+ day turnaround gets you 5% off.

Include a return shipping label and we ship everything back insured after the shoot. We have photographed jewelry for 300+ brands nationwide using this process.

Do you shoot model-worn jewelry shots?+

Yes. On-model jewelry photography (ear, neck, wrist, hand) is $199 per hour and you receive every photo from the session. We can source a hand model for $100 per hour or you can bring your own. Useful for showing scale, layering, and how a piece looks worn.

Can you handle a large jewelry catalog (50+ pieces)?+

Yes. Orders of 50+ photos get 15% off the per-photo rate automatically. We have done multi-hundred SKU jewelry catalogs across rings, necklaces, earrings, and watches. For very large catalogs, we can phase delivery so you can start uploading to your website or Amazon listings while we keep shooting the rest.

Do I own the jewelry photos? Can I use them anywhere?+

Yes. Every image comes with lifetime usage rights. Permanent, unlimited commercial use across your website, Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, social media, paid ads, lookbooks, and print, with no licensing fees, royalties, or expiration dates ever.
